FAQ

Does this mean you will be able to compete in stunt riding competitions?
We can't promise that, depends on you.

Will I be able to go through gears on the back wheel?
We don't know, that depends on how quickly you gain comfort and control over wheelies.

Is it scary to learn?
It will get your adrenaline pumping for sure.

Is it physically demanding?
Yes it is. We keep the run sets to around 5 minutes each so you can last throughout the whole day.

I can already hold a long, controlled wheelie, is this right for me?
We do teach stand ups and shifting through the gears. And then there is also our Level II class on your own bike without the anti-flip devices. Level II classes are offered at certain locations only right now.

Do you teach how to do all the back wheel stunts?
We teach basic wheelies and if you get that down consistently we can also teach shifting through the gears and stand ups.

Will this make me a dangerous rider?
Does having a 180 mph bike make you go 180 mph?

Is it illegal to do wheelies?
Yes, on public streets it is.

If it is illegal for everyday riding, why are you teaching it?
Speeding is illegal too. Does knowing how to speed make you do it? Controlling your motorcycle is the issue here.

Is it safe?
Don't be silly, we are talking about motorcycles in extreme situations, of course it isn't "safe".

Can the bike flip over even with the two anti-flipover mechanisms it is equipped with?
No one has been able to do it yet but that certainly isn't a guarantee that it can't be flipped. All kinds of things could happen, for example, the anti-flipover mechanisms could malfunction or break.

Is it fun to wheelie?
Most riders need plastic surgery to remove their smiles.

How old are your students on average?
So far the average age of the students has been about 41 years.

Do I have to know how to ride a motorcycle?
Absolutely, you must be a competent rider.

What happens if a rider shows up who can't ride very well?
We end their day.

What safety gear do I need to bring?
Full Leathers are ideal but the rule is no street pants (not even jeans) are allowed.

  • You must wear pants and a jacket made specifically for motorcycle riding.
  • Full Face Helmet Snell or DOT approved.
  • Boots over the ankles.
  • Full Coverage Gloves.

At certain locations we have a limited number of leathers for rent. This must be set up before hand though.

How long does the class last?
You should arrive by 8:00 AM for registration. The class runs until you get 100-120 runs or until 5:00 PM, whichever happens first.

What if it rains on a school day?
We do not run in the rain. If the weather conditions are questionable we evaluate on the day of the school, at the location where we are holding the school - many times we can still run, so plan on being there no matter what. If you do not show up, no matter what the weather does, you are considered a no-show and you will not get a credit or refund. If it turns out we cannot run the school due to bad weather you will get a full or partial rain-check to be applied towards another school. There are no refunds for rain out days.
